Here you find a movieclip and photo's of the first experimenst with the two mediated sketching tables in the presence lab in MArch 2012.

  • Each table offered a sketching surface and a visual & audio communication channel
  • Different kinds of light compete
  • Discussing between the two tables to identify what happens
  • Looking at each other while hands try to draw together
  • The impact of colored lines with the pen do not match the impact of colored lines of the projeced drawing of the other.
  • As result the difference between one's own lines and the lines of the other causes a design friction. Also, this is difference in lines is hard to photograph.
  • Ultimately one should not only sketch, but actually move objects to negotiate what is at stake
