Presence

In this research presence refers to the presence of a human beings who breathes and has a heart that ticks. Inspired by 'the conatus' as described by Spinoza and the work of Antonio Damasio, presence is defined as the strive for survival, in which a person steers towards well-being and away from situations that are detrimental for one's life.
