SOFT SERVICES present their approach to collaborative performance research, by presenting one past project Mollen, at Station Sloterdijk and a current project: SOFTman.

SOFT SERVICESis a public engagement and urban design consultancy based on social science method and artistic research practices, co-founded by Adeola Enigbokan and Gavan Blau.

Gavan Blau is a cultural geographer and artist, researching how solidarity networks emerge under the condition of mobility. Most recently, Gavan has been working with Cambodian labour migrants, consulting to international labour unions to facilitate migrant workers in designing organising strategies and workshop training series. Gavan is interested in working with decision makers and communities to transform the relationship and interactions they have together, allowing them to work as a team to find innovative solutions to common problems. He holds an LLB, BCom (Hons), MSc (Human Geography) and was an ISP fellow at the Whitney Museum of Art.

Adeola Enigbokan is an artist and urbanist who researches the design of everyday life in cities around the world. She holds a doctorate in Environmental Psychology from the City University of New York, and teaches Urban Sociology at the University of Amsterdam, and Architectural Theory at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy. She also consults with architects and designers, on the development of robust urban public spaces. Most important to know about her, is that she is a New Yorker at heart.
